I'm a sophomore now, but when I was in 8th grade, I heard my high school offered Japanese 1 and 2. I love(d) Japanese culture, so of course I jumped at the chance to learn the language. But 1 was so easy. I thought maybe 2 would be better, but it turned out to be almost a review of 1. Now I regret putting off PE 'til my upperclassmen years...2 possible AP classes down the tubes.

Plus, I love orchestral music. So I decide to play alto sax in 6th grade.
Couldn't give it up...got too attached to it. So I can't play in orchestras.

I hate how the decisions I made adversely affect me now.

Yeah I feel ya... I was heavy into being a music or arts major fresh-soph yrs. and took a lot of music and art courses- which I did OK in 92-4 ish, but are bringing down my weighted GPA (and class rank) something fierce.

PE sucks too. Its such a load of BS and a waste of my precious time. And believe me my time is precious! Lol... I bring homework to do during PE class so I don't waste time.

Arrgghh,
Anyone have any suggestions for salvaging my situation? I only have room for 6 AP classes total, plus I need 1.5 credits of PE.

does your school have a zero period or anything like that, what gee, does you GC say, we can't know your schools rules

I started out with flute and moved to oboe and english horn, try some obscure instrument, ask the conductor what they need
