Regrets

Dear MIT,

I love you. I still do. I always will.

I wish I had had enough confidence in myself to choose you.

I'm sorry.

Love,
eighteenforluck

Which college did you end up with?

it must have been Caltech.

A lot of OP's posts are in the UPenn forum...

What does that mean? That doesn't even make sense.

Yay, a ridiculous thread. In this spirit, then...

*Dear MIT,

I love you. During the next four years, I may often and loudly say I hate you. But I will still love you.

I wish I was a strong enough person not to take full advantage of the mistake Admissions make in accepting me.

I'm sorry.

Love,
me*

Spartan: I go to Penn. After a really long deliberation period, I just didn't believe in myself enough to realize that I would've been able to hold my own amongst so many brilliant people.

kcastelle... hehe, you'll do fine at MIT :)

eighteenforluck: You should have known that there's a reason why MIT's admissions is considered to be one of the toughest; it's because they had confidence that you would have done well in the MIT environment. Nonetheless, you chose a great school, and who knows? MIT for grad school?

Ah man. Penn's not a bad choice at all. Although I didn't apply, it was my second choice school (I would have applied if MIT had turned me down).

Hope a post like this doesn't mean that you're not happy with your choice though.

Btw - you're majoring in exactly what I wanted to do there (and what I hope to do here).
