Regular Calc

How much do you guys think taking regular calc will help/hurt my chances as a junior? I took this class because I liked the pace it is taught at better than AP calc. Will this look good for colleges since I am two years ahead of normal paced math, or did I screw up by not taking AP? Thanks

What are you going to take next year? Unless you have a time machine, it doesn’t matter.

It’s all relative.

It will be seen as less rigorous than Juniors taking AP Calc. It will be seen as more rigorous that Juniors not taking Calc, which is the vast majority of high school Juniors.

The impact depends on where you will be applying for college, and the backgrounds of the other applicants. MIT? Yes, you may be a bit less rigorous than many applicant in that one area of coursework. But at most schools, it will be in the upper tier of mathematics coursework rigor.

It looks odd that a student two grades ahead would not consider the hardest high school math courses to be easy A courses.
