Regular calculus or ap stats?

I am not sure which math class to take next year, my senior year. I dont want to take ap calculus because math is not my strongest (i get good grades in it because i works hard, but id rather spend my energy on ap bio and ap lit as well as college apps in the fall). So im deciding between ap stats and regular calc. Do colleges care? I want to apply to Georgetown, Brown, and Pomona as my top as well as other reach schools. I have a 98.5 NGA and 1300 on sat but i am taking them again with a tutor. I also will graduate with 8 ap classes whether or not i do ap stats and have a strong list of ECs. College of William and Mary specifies they like to see calc but other just say “as rigourouse as possible”. So which would look better?

If you end up needing math for anything in college, it’ll likely be calculus and you’ll be seriously disadvantaged to be seeing the material for the first time when most of your classmates will have seen it before.

You don’t need another AP. Take calculus. You have enough rigor elsewhere.

^^^^Agree, I would take calculus for the reasons stated above. Additionally, I think that regular calculus will be viewed as being more rigorous than AP Statistics by college admissions officers.

Agreed, Calculus is more likely to be needed in college so getting a preview now is worth it in the long run.
