anyone go test optional? i did and also did an interview
@finaldays I interviewed this summer when I visited and toured Wake. I do know of people getting in without an interview though.@hopefulwfu44 I did go test optional. My scores were decent but I was disappointed in them. My unweighted gpa is 3.86 and my weighted gpa is 5.17. Starting to second guess everything right now…
I went test optional. I suffer from test anxiety and am not happy with my scores. 3.91 GPA tho
@finaldays Did you interview? and is you GPA weighted or unweighted?
I did interview! It’s unweighted
Super nervous about Wake since I didn’t interview–when I figured out that interviews are really important it was like four days past the deadline As previous posters have said, there are students that get in without one, but they probably had amazing applications. Did anybody else here not get the chance to interview?
@finaldays Great UWGPA… did interview go well?
@Andrew1996 thanks!! In my eyes it did
My uw gpa is pretty low(3.4) with a weighted 4.2 but I did have a 2100/790us history/730 world history/690 lit and I interviewed and took a tour so hopefully things work out. I been waitlisted almost everywhere and if Wake it’ll be all worth it
@cloe.salas I only applied to a few schools and have been luck enough to be accepted but I totally feel for you. I would probably rather be rejected than waitlisted because at least you know:( Wake is my number one school. I would have gone ED but I am asking for some financial aid and I heard it is not wise to go ED when asking for FA. I really do wish you the best …sorry about all your waitlists.
I got deferred ED being test optional. Since it’s so much easier to get in ED, I’m not expecting to get in… I do think my first semester grades will help since it’s my highest gpa of high school
When is Wake releasing regular decisions?
Interviewed in person. Sent both ACT & SAT for RD. With the high percentage of ED I think sending test scores will help.
@Berna435 Wake sent out the decision letters for RD today according to social media. However, as they do not have an applicant portal (as far as I know of), the only way to view one’s decision is to wait for the snail mail. So they are on the way!

This map tells you how long it takes USPS to get to your city. Not obsessed or anything. lol
Love it. Thanks @lauren887 I was looking for this type of info yesterday. Looks like a day later than I hoped…but good to know. Good luck everyone!
