@TexasDA I took a risk in my supplement about the unsung historical figure… I wrote a rap about Tesla and the fact he isn’t as well known as Edison even though he should be! And my rap definitely rhymed the entire time and it started with “drops beat”… hope it gave the admission deans a good laugh! I’m actually super proud of it and thought it was really creative/funny!
@TexasDA Mine wasn’t super funny, but I did my top ten on things I want to experience from most to least likely and then the last two were “look down on Earth from outer space” followed by “see Hamilton”
For the ideal Wake 2021 commencement speaker I was gonna say abby lee miller but my college counselor advised against it, instead I chose Misty Copeland. For the top ten list I did ten questions to ask when getting to know someone. It’s not funny but I really like to ask people deep, interpersonal questions so I felt like it was a good topic. I also wrote about my anger towards diet culture, why I think more people should know about Grace Hopper and the book the Dovekeepers.
That wake app was such a force though.
