Reinstatement SEvis Fee payment

Hey if someon where to be applying for the process of reinstatement of an f-1 visa would they need to pay the 200 dollar sevis fee again

What precisely do you mean with “reinstatement of f-1 visa”?

Are you asking what happens when you want to transfer schools with a pending application for reinstatement? The problem is that your SEVIS record cannot be transferred until your application for reinstatement has been adjudicated. Your options are:

(1) Wait for the reinstatement to get adjudicated. Don’t transfer and don’t travel.

(2) Let the transfer-in university open a new SEVIS record for you, leave the US and re-enter using the new I-20. This abandons your pending application for reinstatement. You will have to pay a new SEVIS fee if you go this route.

Here’s two references:

No what I’m asking is it says there is a fee I have o pay that is part of the process of reinstatement
That first fee is 370 dollars
Then it says I should also bring my 200 sevis receipt so what I asking is this an old sevis receipt for my old number or do I have to pay again or my new number?
Hope his clarifies

Thanks for clarifying!

I had to google for the answer, but it looks like you’d have to pay a new SEVIS fee only if you have been out of status for more than 5 months. If you filed your application for reinstatement within the 5 month window, you should be able to use the old receipt.

Instructions from a university to their own students. Not an official reference but much less ambiguous:
