Rejected at Georgetown, any chances at Yale????

<p>Today I received the rejection letter. My SAT's where kinda crappy (<1200) so I believe it's understandable. My EC's were good considering that in Spain (I live in Madrid) EC's are not as common as in the US, but I guess that wasn't enough for Georgetown.</p>

<p>Do any of you know of someone who was rejected at any university and then accepted at an Ivy??</p>

<p>Well..I'm hoping to get into Yale after being rejected from Northwestern. I'm sure it happens a lot, but everything is so unpredictable.</p>

<p>Yes- someone from my school last year was rejected at Georgetown and accepted at both Harvard and Yale.</p>

<p>my 2000th went to pton since I love that board and I hold out a shred of hope for admission and my 1000th went to Yale</p>

<p>I dont have a hope for harvard because of all this financial aid info stuff which I didnt get :(</p>

<p>Spain: I'm an international too (England), who just got rejected at Georgetown, and (really) hoping for Yale. My SATs were a little higher (1390), and my ECs very strong with music. Good luck to you - wish you the best :)</p>

<p>Zante- that's good to hear. I was waitlisted at Georgetown but maybe there is hope at Yale after all. Oh well, we will see in less than 24 hours!</p>

<p>EDIT: (MAJOR Orange County Spolier!) That kid was ridiculous for turning down Stanford for a community college! I hated the end of that movie! Even though Jack Black was hilarious...</p>
