Today I received the rejection letter. My SAT's where kinda crappy (<1200) so I believe it's understandable. My EC's were good considering that in Spain (I live in Madrid) EC's are not as common as in the US, but I guess that wasn't enough for Georgetown.

Do any of you know of someone who was rejected at any university and then accepted at an Ivy??

I know its discouraging, but relax. My friend found out she was rejected by Georgetown last week, but she received a likely letter from Dartmouth too.

I like to think the ppl down at G-town are out of their minds - she has stellar stats and EC's.

Spain, it does happen from time to time. I'm actually in the same position you are. I haven't been rejected, but rather waitlisted up the wazoo :-/
