Okay if you say so. I hope you know that the statistics are that only 100 people get likely letters. Are you really sure that you were one of them??? Did you also get a likely letter from Stanford
No. I did not apply to Stanford. But I’m sure I would have :))
Yeah since you “totally” got a likely letter from Columbia all the best for tonight
why did you put totally in inverted commas? I don’t understand.
Because everyone knows that you are lying. Does anyone agree???
athlete101, chill out, l really don’t see the incentive for someone to lie about college admissions on the internet considering everyone is using an anonymous username. Even then college admissions are done in such a way that I doubt anyone would be seriously upset by knowing that someone else got in, it’s not a direct zero sum game, just because this specific internet stranger got in doesn’t mean that you didn’t. In the scenario where it were a direct zero sum game this information wouldn’t be of any use. Once you’re rejected, you’re rejected. It doesn’t matter to you that some random stranger got in, what matters to you is dealing with your emotions from your admissions results because you don’t know who the other person is.By not being able to know who the other person is it means that you cannot reasonably ascribe feelings towards them like inferiority or superiority because for all you know you were evenly matched and it was just dumb luck that they got in. Leaving any negative emotions of personal dissatisfaction stemming from one’s self and not others.
Late joinee…
Rejected: Amherst, Williams, Wellesley (another 7 in a few hours…)
Um, why are people posting their acceptances here?
Update: legit did just get rejected from 7 colleges in one go
Rejected from Harvard, Yale, and Princeton today. Then again didn’t really expect to be accepted :)) . Good luck to the rest of you though!
**Update: 2 more rejections today from the ivies yayyyy. And a waitlist from NYU.
@cookieloverboy congrats that’s amazing!! @ivyisaplant wow that’s hella impressive. Also I like your username haha
Rejected - Princeton, Carnegie, Johns Hopkins
@hobowriter LOOOL same NYU waitlist and Ivy rejections
rejected by berkeley! <3
Some stats: GPA 3.51 UW, 4.29 W, 35 ACT, National Merit Finalist, Lincoln-Douglas debate tournament at UCB
Rejected by Brown, Duke, Cornell, UCB, UCLA, USC, and UCI
Waitlisted by UCSD and NYU
I was kind of expecting the Ivies and top tier UC’s because of my absolute crap GPA, but really surprised at UCI. Whatever…I guess I’m attending UCSB this fall.
@SomedayIwill Wow I’m surprised about those results. You seem to have excellent stats…
@hobowriter yea…GPA is the most heavily weighted, much more so than test scores, EC’s, and recommendations. Class rigor doesn’t count for much either - I took 10 AP classes and about 3/4 of the remaining classes were honors. At least we both still have a chance for NYU, though
Rejected Berkeley, UCLA, Cornell, Pomona, Wesleyan, Swarthmore, W&M, Chicago
Rejected from UCLA but in at UCSD
I’m technically class of 2020, but I got rejected from almost all of the places I applied to transfer (and I will probably be rejected by the last two in the next few weeks) so I’ll just post here and cry
