<p>i think berkeley tap or priority admission is very limited
i once got the letter and contacted the person who was in charge at my community college
but then the criteria for being part of this was
something such as low income or 1st gen to go to college…</p>

<p>I’m disappointed b/c I hate rejection in general and UCLA has always been my “dream” school. However, UCSD was my first choice (close by, great Econ program, Triton-Eye, etc.) and I got in.</p>
<p>I won’t be appealing but good luck to those who are.</p>
<p>I’ll still wait to see what Berkeley says but I’m 95% sure I’ll be going to UCSD.</p>

<p>i didnt fulfill requirements for another major… cuz they changed it where you couldnt apply as biz econ and econ as alternate vice versa… and they notify us of that like… at the way end… so i just put down environmental science for my alternate… i guess i wasnt good enough for that… AHHHHHHH ucla tap is a joke… it does nothing</p>
<p>did u put down environmental science as your alternate on your original application? Because UCLA says it must have been listed on there when you applied.</p>

<p>yeah i got an email from my schools honors office saying that ucla put restrictions on alternate majors. i got this email like 2 months? before the application process. so i put it on the original application. :(</p>

<p>^ They talked about how it was a competitive year and such. But for me they said because I’m completing 3 pre-reqs( English 1C,Micro Econ, and Calc2) this semester and that for the Biz-econ major in the Econ department they put in certain criteria for admissions to follow. She went on to explain since I didn’t take these classes during the winter quarter which none of my CCC’s offer that I was at an disadvantage. She told me I could appeal if I had a good reason why I had not taken English 1c and Micro Econ during the fall and if my grades were good this semester she said it be worth a shot. I have a very good reason for not taking those classes last semester besides Calc2 since I was taking Calc1 last semester. I mean I’ve acing these classes right now so I plan to appeal and show letters with progress reports from my teachers. I mean its worth a shot and I rather get rejected again and say I tried. It seems as I was at a bit of disadvantage being on the semester system.</p>
<p>For anyone who wants to know why they were rejected I say call it doesn’t hurt and they will tell you.</p>

Your one of the few people that i know that received an update for acceptance/denial durign the afternoon. Everyone believes that they wont come out until later this evening around 6</p>
<p>But if they were to come out this afternoon how would that be possible? Because on the decisions page it says that they only update the site once per day. That one time has passed right or am i wrong?</p>
