rejection notification

I think that is the same status that a lot of us have. I think it is pre-notification but not necessarily evidence of a rejection (at least I certainly hope so!!)

Not being able to see the Admissions Acceptance Form does not mean rejection…my D had the same note for what seemed like forever and she was accepted last Friday…also you will be able to access the financial aid portfolio prior to being accepted but you will not be able to see your financial aid awards until AFTER being accepted…its just available to you at this point to check that youve submitted all the necessary documentation…Hang tight everyone today is Friday and that means a new wave of acceptances!!! Good luck…

My daughter’s financial aid award was available this morning. She has not been admitted with the email and the admission acceptance form is still unavailable

CollegeBoundNYC – in other words, access to the financial aid portfolio (showing full tuition) is available whether or not the student will be accepted ?? I’ve been able to access that all week… but no acceptance yet.

iliketocook - that is correct, the financial aid portfolio can be accessed prior to being accepted so you can view your task list and make sure all the necessary documentation has been submitted and completed…however once your accepted and you go to the financial aid porfolio a welcome letter will greet you and you will have various tabs the first one being “award letter” and you will be able to see all the financial aid that you were offered…

collegebound – thanks

thanks for the input…good luck to all who haven’t heard, including my daughter

hang in there all; admissions usually posts between now and 7:00 PM…

Rejected:
Architecture Major
90.1/100 (~3.5) GPA
2180 SAT, 780 Math IIC
My portfolio probably didn’t have enough strong freehand drawings.

No worries; Got into my top choice (USC): Good luck, all.

DS–Rejected: Architecture Major
89/100 (3.4-ish GPA UW)
The Arch program is #2 in the country so this was a reach school, and portfolio weighed heavily on the judgment.

Rejected: School of Architecture
GPA: ~3.7 (94.04/100)

Personally, I think my portfolio, was pretty good: I had a lot of free hand sketches and pictures of the models I made. I guess my SATs weren’t “too good” to them.

Tough luck.

seems like only arch. rejections have gone out

for those who got rejected from architecture, did you get into your 2nd or 3rd choices?
i applied there too and still didn’t hear back…

D rejected for Musical Theater BFA…auditioned in early October. She had a rough dance audition but her academics were strong so who knows. I just saved 200k…:)

Was the Architecture Major in New House?

Architecture is its own major, not New House. DS only applied for Architecture-- he didn’t put down any other choices because he is looking to get a B…Arch, (5-year-program) that only a few schools have.

Good luck to all those still waiting!

So Architecture is almost as hard as getting into New House? Just because of the limited number of spots and competition?

I wouldn’t say almost as hard - Syracuse’s program is #2 in the country.

Hey, I applied as a Freshman Acting major and haven’t heard anything. Do the rejections come in e-mails too, or is it via snail mail?

lifeisastorybook…D was rejected via email…she auditioned as a MT major
