This should be a big week -- still waiting on Ithaca, Webster, Hartt and three non-audition schools.

I hear you about NYU

If I don't find out soon I think I'm gonna bursttttttt

aaaahhhhhhhhhh

Yeah i'm waiting for NYU too lol!! Rejected from CMU and UNCSA : (

did you not get the invitation either?
the fact that they send those to only some of the accepted is just plain cruell

aaahhhhh

its a bad idea to have a dream school

I know. I have this horrible feeling all my letters are going to come in the same week. Ive been rejected from calarts. Still waiting on UNCSA, NYU, USC, Fordham, AMDA, Pace, and two no auditions schools-occidental in cali and columbia college chicago.

Margot33,

Hi, did you see someone just got their BA USC acceptance pack yesterday and he told me he never got the oasis thing or explore thing before hand. He said he just got the explore thing today. So we can definitely still hope! He was one of the posts on the acceptances list in the Musical Theatre Thread. I got accepted to LA AMDA. Are you thinking about going there. They offered me some nice $, but don't think I am going. When did you audition. They let me know 2.5 weeks after the audition. I am still really hoping for USC though!

Oh really? That gives me some hope! I haven't seen anything about explore USC or anything like that. I am thinking about going to do the BFA in LA AMDA, especially if I get a scholarship. I actually just auditioned yesterday in ATL. You don't think you'll go to AMDA? I will probably go somewhere else before there, but it's still an option for me. I like the fact that you can go during the summer and finish early. I would def. do that if I got in and went there.

Hi Margot33,

I know I love still having hope for USC !

Theres a lot of really good information about AMDA on the Musical Theatre Major Thread. The name of the thread is "What can you tell me about AMDA". It really helped me to read about a lot of different points of view about AMDA. You should check it out.

Margot: tell gonabaster about occidental... I didn't know about that program. What's it like? Does it have musical theatre?

D rejected by CMU and Juilliard. Waiting on UNCSA & NYU.

chrissyblu, sorry about the two "no's." :( Best wishes with the other two. Hang in there.

Thanks....

Regretfully no acceptance at USC. But I will try again! I will keep the faith!!! I will now start looking for plan B!!!

Margot33,

What is occidental? See note from Chrissyblu!
Chrissyblu thanks for alllllllllllll
your help!

D rejected by CMU and Ithaca, but accepted at Hartt for Acting.
gonabastar -- sorry to hear about USC -- I have also heard good things about Occidental. You should check it out.

D rejected by USC. See my thread on the USC admissions process.

Occidental College is a pretty prestigious (as in grades matter to get in) liberal arts college in LA. You don't have to audition to get in, but I've heard that they have a pretty good theatre program. Unfortunately they do NOT have a MT program. You can go to oxy.edu for more info about it.

BTW I had NO MAIL TODAY!!! Im going nuts.

Chrissyblu, Im sorry about your D. Im still waiting on NYU and UNCSA as well. :(

And I will def. check out the AMDA thread.

Theatre techie rejected from Tisch - Tech Track. Really disappointed, as it was my top top choice. I guess some things just aren't meant to be. :)

My stats were: 3.9 UW GPA, 2300 SAT, 800 & 740 SAT IIs, involved in HS's arts (school's only stage manager :P) in drama and music, won't comment on essays and recommendations since they're more subjective.

Interview by phone because I'm an international.

USC said No to me. Just a generic denial.

Didn't really get a good sense from the program anyway.. plus its across the country.

Bah

still desperately waiting on NYU.

be-somebody...did your Tisch rejection come by mail?
