Relationship with Columbia and Chinese population?

Hi I will most likely be an incoming freshman at Barnard but everything has to be settled after I go to the Open House! I’m excited!
So I heard a lot of different opinions about Barnard students from my friends at Columbia, some are good, some are bad, so I guess I really need more information and help from you guys! How do Columbia students think of Barnard? How is the social life between the two schools like? Do we really get to take a lot ot courses at Columbia? I’m planning on double majoring in Political Science and Economics, will I have a lot ot opportunities to take classes at Columbia?

BTW, I’m Chinese ethnicity and I would love to learn more about the Chinese internationship students or Chinese American girls at Barnard if there’s any!

Thank you very muchy =)

Hi!
I haven’t experienced Barnard myself yet, so all I can do is link you to this article/interview-
[Relationship Status: It’s Complicated | The Eye](http://eye.columbiaspectator.com/article/2010/09/16/relationship-status-its-complicated)
It talks about the Columbia-Barnard relationship and I found it really insightful.
Also, this video doesn’t say much about Barnard’s Chinese student life, but I thought it was interesting anyway-

I feel like Barnard and Columbia share clubs almost seamlessly, judging at the way the Clubs and organizations homepage is set up [The Student Government Association of Barnard College](http://eclipse.barnard.columbia.edu/~sga/new/) At Columbia (at least there seems to be, the website isn’t working) there’s a Chinese club as well as a Taiwanese club (and Vietnamese… and Japanese… ) AND also the AAA, Asian American Alliance. They’re pretty big and active, I think. I actually went to one of their events because my friend’s sister who goes to Columbia is part of the AAA.

Heyyyyy, thank you so much!! All of them are really helpful!!!
Are you gonna be an incoming freshman too? So hopefully I will see you there :)
