<p>Heck, what I really mean is I want a college acceptance. Double-majoring in mathematics and political science at Penn. Studying foreign policy. Doing some research in numbers. Working behind the political scenes. And...</p>

<p>true, feminism is sometimes too whiny. and women SHOULD be grateful for what individual potential they have. but by the same token, that also means that women shouldn't depend on men. i woudln't want to be a trophy wife cuz then i'd feel like people don't respect me or my intelligence as they should.</p>

<p>Women should be free in the sense that they should be able to choose the path they take in life. No, they shouldn't depend on men. So why are many feminists advocating a push for women in engineering, etc. and equal representation in the government? Should women really need an extra push--or can they be independent and choose and earn for themselves?</p>
<p>What if I want to get married and have children? What if I want to be a "trophy wife" (well, that's a derogatory term in itself, but just ignore that...)? Just because society scorns that doesn't make me an any less intelligent or respectable person.</p>

<p>Personally I am not a fan of feminism. I think it had a very important role...but it's getting to be ridiculous. Personally, I want a guy who's going to have some chivalry. I just think it's a sweet gesture, and polite. :)</p>
