Relaxed superstars

I've observed selective college's "post your stats if you get in" threads and find a couple of students who, contrary to the insane rest, took it every easy in high school. Granted, their academic schedule was challenging and scores were high, but their EC weren't that considered by the "Ivy hopefuls" as impressive. So my question for you guys is, if you are one of those relaxed superstars who got into competitive colleges, please let us know how you thought you were accepted, and even if you don't, please describe your activities in high school so other people can offer insights on how you accomplish the feat. Please help out us high schoolers, whose situation, in a few years or even months back, you were also in. Please don't post stories you just heard about, or observed because you never fully know what that person did when you were not around.
Thank you

One way is to be a recruited athlete.

I wanna know too…!

From Cal Newport, I suppose
I read his new book 4 times. I’m obsessed o.O
Trying to narrow my focus and under-schedule…

So if anyone is a relaxed superstar, please tell ^_^

I took a look at that book today, and from what Ive seen on CC, I know it is tru, albeit only a handful of people would fall into that category every year

You want to be a relaxed superstar?

Just don’t give a shizzle. Superstardom will come naturally to you.

Just do things you enjoy and you’ll have a story to tell. No matter what.

Stardom just naturally comes to me I suppose. Got into Yale and Stanford without barely any EC’s. No biggie though.

Would you elaborate more on that Liverpool?

I wrote my essay stoned out of my mind.

Nahh, I’m only pulling your leg, I didn’t even write the SAT’s let alone get into Yale… and no one noticed but I quickly edited my post after I posted it… changed Stanton to Stanford.
I barely even know the IVY league names haha.

I don’t even pay attention to my schedule

What’s a shedjool?

Do what you want to do.
To improve your skills as a person and ultimately be satisfied.
Because if you don’t dwell on bad results and thrive to be excellent at what you’re passionate about, you’ve already become a superstar.
Nevermind those Ivies.
You’re a content, talented person.
If you’re like me, you are insecure. So you aspire to go to a college with superb academics and a positive environment because only then will you be that content.
