Relevance of studying business in high school for finance major.

I want to pursue a finance degree in university. Would it be wise to study business as a subject in high school? It may seem obvious to say it is wise to study business, however I have been recommended by certain people that there is no point in sacrificing another subject to learn business in HS as I am already well versed with basic elements of business and I will not learn anything useful anyway since I will be taught by HS teachers which are highly likely to be not the best entrepreneurs. Other subjects would give me breadth.

I am doing the IB and have selected English, French, and Mathematics on a standard level; Economics, Physics, and Business/some other subject on a higher level. Should I stick with business or choose another subject?

Business is ok, but higher level math like calculus or statistics is just as useful; in college it’s more math/compsci majors who get hired into finance

More like the people from target schools. I do agree tho that taking the most rigorous courses in HS is the way to go.
