Religion

I don't want a religious debate but I'm just curious what religion people identify themselves as, what religion they were raised with, and any exploring they did.

I am neo-pagan, not any specific religion though. My beliefs mainly resemble those of wicca. I was raised with no real religion but went to a strict Catholic school. I have explored every major world religion in depth. I personally love Buddhism too.

Anybody?

Jew Pride.

I'm religiously apathetic, really.

I'm reading a bit on Mahayana right now. It's very, very interesting and I identify with alot of it.

I studied Buddhism a long time ago. Could you quickly refresh my memory of the differences between Theravada and Mahayana?

I'm technically jewish, but I really don't believe in god. If I have to fill out a questionnaire, i will circle jewish.

My dad is Buddhist and my mom is Christian. I believe in God but identify with no particular religion.

I was raised in a pretty conservative family with conservative/traditional religious beliefs...well, my dad is conservative, at least. My mom is a little less so. My personal beliefs are a bit more unconventional and I don't think that they fall under the umbrella of any particular religion. Personally, I have gone to church services with Baptist friends, Catholic friends, Jewish friends, Methodist friends, Non-denominational friends, etcetera, and I have really enjoyed the experience of getting a glimpse of others' beliefs.
I believe that there is some sort of greater power at work in the universe.

My family is Catholic. I became agnostic this past year. If my dad found out, I'd probably be disowned.

Haha, I like those stories ^.
My father was raised Christian [his whole father's family is Irish Catholics], sort of, although his mother was Jewish. My mother was raised, nothing really, but her mother was a "witch" [not the hocus pocus type stuff] and her dad was Roma (gypsy) and of the Pagan religion. I really got a taste of almost every religion.

Physimathematisemitaoagnostiatheist.

I'm Hindu.
at least, according to my parents I am. lol.
idk. we're not an extremely religious family, but my parents believe strongly in it.

I kind of believe that there is a higher power, and karma, etc., but not really in all the stories and traditions associated with religion. I kind of feel that it's stupid when people argue over whose religion is "right," because, essentially, they all advocate similar things.

I think agnostic is the term for it? or am I wrong?

I'm completely atheist.
my family is all non-religious.

and alamode, agnostic would be the term.

Complete deist....God doesn't have to be humanoid, although how does one account for the big bang without giving credit to this unknown entity?

scientology ftw!

jk

Hail the almighty spaghetti monster!

Just kidding.

Fundamental baptist, became christian in August 2006, baptism a week ago :)
I prefer not to associate with any denomination very hardly though. I'm Christian :)

i've been agnostic since age 10.

To alamode, agnosticism is the belief that there is no way to tell whether God exists or not. I don't know what just believing in God without the organized religion part is called. Theism, maybe?

Pastafarian.

Hail FSM.
