<p>I read that religious kids in college tend to do worse academically than non-religious people. Is this true, is anyone out there religious (not overly religious) and what are your experiences.</p>
<p>my roommate should have the last name flanders and she has over a 3.5 now, which is very good over here.</p>
<p>As a whole the only way to tell is a broad study which of course might show some correlation but I doubt it will be significant and it won't predict anything. Simply put - there are smart religious people and dumb religious people as well as smart and dumb nonreligious people.</p>
<p>I've seen studies that say the exact opposite. Personally, I don't think it effects school performance either way. Any study would have too many variables to be effective.</p>
<p>That's because they can afford to hire better teachers than public schools.</p>
