the ny or long island representative is coming to my school soon to do an info type session. however I asked my guidance counselor if it would be possible to talk to the rep one on one before or after the info session so that she could get to know me. my guidance counselor agreed to do so willingly, but kinda made it seem like i shouldnt disucss anythin regarding my resume or stats or anything, just say hi more or less. has anyone been in this situation. how should i handle it and what should i ask the rep

there's your prob. its not from the heart

I say let things happen naturally.

myopia get out of hear with that taking my words and putting them in your own context, if your not hear to help then ****

My guidance councilor is doing the same thing for me too. He didn't put any ground rules though, but I totally agree: Don't harp too much on your creds. Be yourself, gush about Penn, and stuff. These guys have amazing memories and when she sees your app, she'll know everything about your awards, ecs, etc, so why be redundant?

Honestly, its much harder to say "no" to someone you know, so make her know YOU. And Myopia, please stop questioning other people's motivations for Penn. Many people are just as passionate as you!

damn what's with the spelling on this thread.

Just ask questions that you generally have - it's best to listen to their presentation and jot down questions that arise during the presentation.

masterflor: i apologize and good luck =)

alright thanks bongo thats what i was looking for
and myopia its all good i just felt that you were trying to imply something that couldnt be further from the truth
