I was directly enrolled in the sophomore year as I completed my freshman year in a different country. I don’t have credits for a couple of classes which freshmen usually take. This doesn’t allow me to take classes that I want to, like statistics when I am in my senior year as I should be taking Cal or Pre Cal. Does the school allow me to repeat a grade in school? I want to take more classes and help expand my course options before I enter college. I think that if I repeat a grade, I will be able to make correct everything. I had all straight As in both semesters of my sophomore. In this case, will my school allow me to repeat a grade in school or not?
Your school will probably not let you repeat a grade. Summer school or online courses are your best bet for filling in the gaps.
If you were to move to a private school, they might let you come in as a repeat sophomore. This is common at boarding schools because of the rigor. It is probably too late in the year for that now (and expensive ).
Talk to your GC about a strategy for doing this in your current school and grade.
