Hi everyone. I have a big crisis and I'm stressing out! I'm currently enrolled at a CCC, Santa Monica College.

GPA: 3.1
IGETC: Completed
Major: Political Science
UC Transferable Units: 60
Hoping to Transfer to UC Riverside, Irvine, Santa Cruz, or Davis

Issue: During my semester last year, I took the same professor for 2 Poli Sci classes and I failed them. After talking to the counselor, I decided to retake them this semester before applying for next year's Fall. The problem is, I might fail one of my poli sci classes again!!

'The reason for this is because I missed an exam and had to retake it during the Finals Week. It was different and came out from different sections of my text book, I was not prepared for that at all'

So now I'm waiting to see if I can repeat this course again... but there might be a chance that I won't be able to repeat this course.

My questions:

Are my chances to transferring UC next year unlikely?
Should I switch my poli sci major? And if so, is it okay?
Should I take the poli sci course at another community college?
Are there any notable private colleges like Loyola, Biola, or Pepperdine that I can get into?

I'd appreciate any answers, thank you!
