Reporting AP Scores

Hey, so I took APUSH this past year and did really well in it. I worked my butt off all year and ended up with a 97 in the class, and it wasn't an easy teacher.
Come May, I knew I didn't do well on the test and plus I get test anxiety really badly and I totally freeze up. I got my score in the mail and I got a 3 :(, when i know that i could have gotten a 4 or 5.

I know colleges are going to look at this and say like "grade inflation" or something like that, so i'm wondering what i should do. is there a way where i can not report the score? but then will it look strange if i dont have an AP score for that subject?

Thanks

AP scores are self-reported on applications so you don't have to put it if you don't want to. I don't know of any college that requires you to send an official score report along with your application.
