Reporting SAT Scores on Common App??

I'm an international student residing in the U.S. applying to Amherst, Brown, Duke, Dartmouth, Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Princeton and a few others. These are all reach schools since I have received acceptances to some in-state public universities. My current superscore for the SAT is 2240 after two sittings (2110 and 2190). However, I'm taking the ACT this December and shooting for a 35. Should I send both scores if I get the 35, or just the ACT? Also, should I bother reporting the SAT scores on the common app. since I might not be reporting it if I achieve my goal?

Thanks a lot!

Just send both the SAT and ACT. I don’t think the SAT can hurt you. Report it on the Common app. Plus, there is always a possibility that you don’t do as well on the ACT as you think you might.

thanks! I think I’ll do just that and yeah a highscore on the ACT is by no means guaranteed
