reporting time for activities?

<p>So when we're filling out the common app activity section, im a little confused at how im supposed to report the amount of time i spend on it. for example, my sga meetings happen once a week for about an hour. i put 1 hr/wk, but then im supposed to write how many wks/yr. we have a meeting every week, am i really supposed to count the number of weeks in a school year and report that? cuz i will, it just seems a little odd. also, some of my activities happen on a monthly basis. would i then put like 2 hrs/week, 6 wks/yr? </p>

<p>EDIT: One more thing. i co-founded a spirit club. we have meetings every month but part of the club means going to sports activities. im assuming i shouldnt include all the sports games i attend for spirit club in my hours because that seems kind of like a rip-off. anyone think differently?</p>

<p>For your first question, I did it how you explained but I don't know if that's right (hopefully it is). For the second question, if you go to the games for the club and otherwise wouldn't at all, and you do something for the club at the games (like run a booth selling stuff or something), I would count those hours. Otherwise, I wouldn't. Not positive what the right thing to do is.</p>

<li>Add up/approximate the total hours you spent doing SGA things in a year.</li>
<li>Add up the total weeks of the year during each of which you spent some time doing SGA things, and submit it as "weeks/year."</li>
<li>Divide the answer you got for number 1 by the answer you got for number 2, round it, and submit that as "hours/week."</li>
