Hi, my daughter is a HS senior and she just switched from AP Calc BC to AP Cal AB in the middle of spring semester. She already got accepted to a couple of good schools, and waiting for a several more decisions next week. I don't think that change is all that big a deal that should affect most schools decisions, but I am not sure. Any expert opinions? Should she report ASAP, for both, admitted and the still undecided schools? Perhaps it's better to do it later next week, once the all the decisions are announced? Appreciate any help.

It’s probably not a big deal, as both are rigorous classes - it’s not as if she’s dropping it for a free period.

The schools releasing decisions next week have probably already made their decisions anyway, so there’s not much sense waiting (especially since it’s not much of a change). It should be fine if she notifies them now.

BTW, it has crossed my mind not to report the change at all, since it seems so minor. It is basically going from Calc 2/3 to 1/2. She has not taken Calc 1/2 before in HS, but she was took Calc 1 at Community College last summer to satisfy the pre-requisite in order to get into Calc BC. Thank you…

Thanks, RedSeven, sounds like good advice.
