I started this year with 5 ap classes and 2 honors. During the second semester of my senior year, I had a death in the family that led to a dip in my grades, and alot of absences. I managed to keep up with the majority of my classes, except for my ap calc class.

I ended up with a semester C, but am now considering switching out of calc and into another class since I've missed so many classes, and, instead, get tutored outside of school specifically to take the exam at the end of the year.

I was wondering if anyone knew if switching out of ap calc would change my college acceptance to a no if it was a yes initially for doing this?

I know no one can exactly predict what college admissions are going to do, but I really don't know whether it is better to endure calc, or find a better alternative without sacrificing my dream schools.

Thanks!
