HI’m trying to fill out the form for an alumna interview, but for academic interests, should I list my favorite subjects or what I want to major in? And for extra curricular activities, should I be more specific or general?

I imagine they are just trying to give the interviewer an idea of what they can talk to you about.

I should imagine that your favorite subjects and what you want to major in are at least somewhat related…

And for extra curricular activities: they don’t need a huge list. Just some interesting and discussion-worthy things you have done…

Well, I wanna major in women’s studies, so I don’t how my favorite subjects would lead into that. But English DID help me decide to apply as a women’s studies major because of all the gender studies critical analyzing we do in class…

So, is there a way to indicate this on the form? Sorry, I personally have never seen the Request for Alumna Interview form…

No, it just has a space for “Academic Interests” and “Extra Curricular Interests”

Then list all your potential academic interests as well as the extracurrics. That will give you something great to discuss with your interviewer. …meaning how doing gender studies critical analysis helped lead to women’s studies…

So, I’d list like my academic interests now as well as what I want to pursue in college? ex. “English, Women’s Studies”

I would think so.

Okay, thank you so much for helping me out! :)
