Hi - If the student completes AP course, registers for AP exam but not take it, how is that viewed by colleges during admissions? Thanks in advance
You may not get credit, subject credit, or advanced placement in college for the AP score.
It may not matter if you are a high school senior who knows what college you will attend (and will not transfer to another college later) and knows that scores on the specific AP test will give nothing useful at that college.
There are a few situations (e.g. pre-meds who do not want to have to indicate that they are “repeating” AP credit on their medical school applications) where a student may not want to have an AP score.
