D14 has started to receive mail from colleges after taking the PSAT. There are several other schools she is interested in, and has gone to their web sites to request more info, but nothing has arrived (about a month later). I understand that schools prefer that prospective students get their info from the web sites, but my D would rather have the glossy brochures in her hands. Anybody else experience this?

Many schools have yet to print their brochures/viewbooks for Fall, 2013 freshman. Your D will likely receive the printed material in the summer. Some schools have eliminated viewbooks entirely though.

BTW, I am glad that some young people still appreciate print material.

If she’s just taking the PSAT I assume she’s a sophomore? I would think that the big push for admissions/recruitment officers right now is the class of 2013. Believe me, if she gets a remotely decent score on the PSAT…and honestly, even if she doesn’t…you will be swimming in paper in about 3 months time. I swear we’ve received at least 3 trees worth in the past twelve months.
