Required classes for college?

Hi everyone! :)

So basically, I'm currently a sophomore at my high school right now. I recently moved to this school. In my old school, we weren't required to take a language, so I didn't because I hated the Chinese teachers there.
Anyways, this year, I'm taking a Chinese course, and it's Chinese 2 Honors, which is a second year Chinese course. I was looking online and I saw that most colleges prefer 4 years of a language. Will me starting at a 2nd year level in my sophomore year be the same as doing 4 years from when I was a freshman?

Also, in my old school, I took a mixed course of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, which was just labelled 'Science'. This year I'm taking Chemistry Honors, and next year I'll be taking AP Chemistry, and the year after that, AP Biology. Is it OK if I don't have Physics straight on my transcript?

Thank you!

A college’s language requirement is satisfied by level reached not years taken. If college requires three years of a single language, you can satisfy that requirement by completing the third high school year level of the language regardless of how many years you actually take the language.

You can meet a requirement for lab science, often three years at many colleges, without having physics. However, if you will be applying for engineering or physics as a major, it can help to have it.

You would not likely be rejected for not having physics in high school. Or 4 years of a language. All of those things can be explained to the colleges by your guidance counselor’s letter.
