So I have to turn in my schedule for senior year soon.
I'd really like to drop foreign language for my 4th year, and I'd rather take APES instead of a physics class because I honestly find it more interesting...I already know I want to major in something humanities or poly-sci related...I want the space of not having spanish so I can triple up in humanities classes. Would this hurt my admissions chances?

I think having a year of physics is highly recommended because it’s sort of a core science, but three years of a language should be fine.

bump for more input

Drop the language; keep Physics.

Xheck the recommended classes for the schools where you plan to apply. Some may want physics, while others may want 4 years of language. You need to consider what you need, not what “most” students need. If you won’t use physics, you don’t need to take it. You might not need the 4th year of language (particularly if you covered the first year in middle school), but taking that 4th year might get you out of a foreign language requirement in college.

I mean the colleges I want to goto don’t list these things are requirements for high school courses, but it still makes me wonder if it would hurt my admissions chances
