I couldn't find anything about this on the Mac website. Does anyone know if there are required classes, and if so, what are they?
Thanks!

1 class=4 credits. im speaking in credits

8 social sciences
8 math or science
4 humanities
4 arts
4 humanities or arts (so 2 of one and 1 of the other, basically)
4 domestic diversity
4 international diversity

the classes that meet the diversity requirements often fill a subject requirement too.

So that means at most you would have to take 9 required classes over 4 years?

yes and no. the one thing iplayoboe left out is the two year language requirement. you can test out of that with SAT II or AP scores. if you start a new language and want you can fill the requirement in a year (they're classes that combine two semesters into one, and are worth 5 credits instead of 4) or take two years. languages classes fill the humanities requirement.
but then, you also have to do your major, so you fill some of the requirements without thinking about it. usually people fill the domestic and international diversity requirements while doing other requirements. like an international diversity class that is also a social science.
for me, taking a language and majoring in the social sciences, i've only had to think about domestic diversity, science/math, and arts. so that's 4 required classes over four years.

as an econ major, i've managed to fill both diversity reqs, and both math/sci reqs through my major, as well as the social science. I could have tested out of language (chose not to for personal reasons) and so I really only had to worry about humanities/arts (3 over 4 years).
