Required to self report all SAT scores?

Hi,

Are you required to self report all SAT scores on the common app? The reason I ask is, because I took the SAT Bio-M test freshman year, and didn't receive that good of a grade (and subsequently retook it the following year). I don't want to report this first test on the Common App; only the other ones.

Thus, is it okay for me to omit this on the common app (selectively put the tests I want to be considered down?) I don't think that it'll matter that much cause the scores are going to be sent to the colleges anyway and they'll see it-- I just don't want to fall in the category of presenting a misrepresented/skewed application.

Hope that was clear--

Thanks!

I've been wondering about this, as well. Anyone?

since all the scores are sent anyways, why wouldn't you self-report all of them? they will see that you took the test early, and duly take that into account.

You took it again and got a better score. They don't care about the lower score. Seriously, they don't.

Sorry to hijack zafara17's thread, but I have the same question for different reasons. I really don't like my SAT score, am submitting my ACT score, the school doesn't want SAT II, can I just report my ACT score? Thanks.

I also want to know this. I only took the reasoning test once, but I'm taking five different subject tests with two retakes... do I really have to report ALL of them? That would be like... sensory overload for the person looking at my app. Lol.

Oh, and arduouspallor: yes. (:

If you took the ACT and are submitting it, and don't want to submit your SATs at all, then don't report them and never ask SAT to send them to any schools. Then it is as if you never took them. But then you cannot submit any SAT 1 or SAT2 or PSAT scores, because if you submit one, then the school gets all of them.

Same for the ACT. Lots of people take it, and if it isn't as good as the SAT they never report or submit it.

Also, I just checked and there's only room for six SAT IIs. So if I were to self-report all of them, would I choose which retake to report both of? o__O
