Required to send?

I am taking 2 SAT Subject Tests this June. I am not preparing and will probably score average on them. Can I completely discard these scores, or am I required to send them since I took them?

None of the colleges I am applying to require them, but some recommend.

I have found that if you have taken a SAT Subject Test once, you can uncheck the box that would have sent that score and it won’t be sent to that college. You may send the score to one college while omitting it from your score package to another college.

Thank you for responding!

If those scores have no merit to you, you can cancel them. After all, you’ll still be required to submit them to schools that you submit the SAT to that don’t take score choice.

what if the college doesn’t require or even recommend SAT II’s? if they say they want to see all scores does that mean just SAT I’s or SAT II’s too? It doesn’t make sense that they would want SAT II’s sent if they aren’t even going to look at them. I’m thinking of UMD - I don’t think they accept score choice but I don’t necessarily want to send my SAT II’s.

If the college doesn’t want or recommend taking the SAT IIs if you take them and send them it shouldn’t have any effect on their decision.
