So i want to go to NYU and they need 4 history credits, but I don't even have 4 history credits to take without repeating categories i've taken before.

does AP Phycology, world religions, geography, etc count?

what should i do?

i think all of those except psych count. and i dont think NYU requires 4 history credits, because most students only have 2-3.5 tops

Are you sure they don't mean social studies credits?

yea, i'm sure
it definitly said history
i double checked

NYU only requires at a minimum of 3 years of social studies and/or history. Don't worry about it. When it comes to social studies, psychology, religions, geography classes etc. definitely do count.

"Since our applicants come from a broad range of high schools from around the United States and many foreign countries, it is difficult to recommend a single course of study that would maximize your chances of admission. However, we would expect your preparation to include the following: four years of English with a heavy emphasis on writing, 3-4 years of history/social studies, 3-4 years of mathematics, 3-4 years of a laboratory science, and 2-3 years of a foreign language. Please note that these are minimum requirements for consideration. Students most competitive for admission will exceed these minimums."
