Requirements

Hi all, im an international student applying to the US and aiming for the ivies. I just got 2150 (780V/650V/720W) in my SAT I, do you guys think this requires 'retakement' and where can i be aiming for with this scores. I know other factors are involved in application but let's i fulfil all other requirements

bumpety bump

im really sorry to be off-topic, and also really no offense to you but, how did you get a 720 W? also is that a 780 V or M

whoops that should be 780M/ 650V / 720W
what do you mean how did i get 720 W??

Where are you coming from?

england- yes i speak english

In that case, I think you should retake the SAT I one more time, as it is hard for internationals to gain admission to top colleges. You do not have to; you have a great score. Furthermore, focus on the other parts of the application such as essays and such.

Do note that the ability to pay is highly considered in the admissions process. If you can pay, the more likely you are to be admitted.

Thanks, and yes i understand about the ability to pay. Im hoping being an ethnic minority (black african) will stand in my favor. which colleges can i be aiming for with the aforementioned score

Yes. It will stand in your favor as being a URM and an international. I think you can have the mix of the standard reach, match and safety schools.

Only you know which colleges for which you should be aiming. If your SAT IIs, recs, essays, academic record are fine, I believe you can apply to the HYPs, other top 25 schools such as Northwestern and UMich, and safeties such as Tulane, etc.
