I am kind of freaking out.. I was accepted to DePaul university (where I want to go) and my senior year has been a bit of a mess. Ok, quite a mess. Here are my stats:
GPA before senior year: 3.2
ACT: 31
SAT: 2100

But here are my grades for semester 1
AP Econ: D
AP Physics: D
Choir: A
Human Biology: C
AP Gov: D
AP Calc: D/F
English: A

It looks like semester 2 will wrap up like this:
AP econ: D
AP Physics: B
Choir: A
Human Biology: C
AP Gov: B
AP Calc: D
English: A

Do you think they'd rescind it? They originally gave me a $12K per year scholarship, which of course I expect to lose. Do you think I'll stay admitted?

Yes, you’ll probably be rescinded. You’ll have to end of year Ds (Econ and Calc). Call the school to discuss this with them. They MIGHT let you in on academic probation.

Terrible grades but your scores should be AT LEAST within the 95th percentile of DePaul’s student.

Didn’t DePaul see your first semester grade before accepting you? If you already had 4 D’s and 1 C, and DePaul accepted despite of those grades, I don’t see how 2 D’s and 1 C would be a cause for alarm.

Erin’s Dad…how do you have such a definitive answer?

It’ll be… a 30/70 chance? I don’t want to speak on behalf of DePaul, but that is quite a few Ds. Though, it’s not like you dropped from straight As to some Cs and Ds.

It’ll be unlikely, though they may place you on academic probation upon receiving your full transcript.

50/50 rescind chance. the worst part about the situation is that you are failing very common freshman college courses, not just fluff classes. that would be a very bad sign to a college. i would call and talk to them and explain that it was due to senioritis (hopefully it is).
