Rescored SAT II Chem May/June

Apparantly there was some error in the May/June SAT II Chem tests so collegeboard rescored them. It definitely helped, considering my scored increased 30 points. Anyone else get this in their emails?

Now, however, I have a problem with sending the rescored test to my early d college. I'm not quite sure how I go about fixing this in my app, considering I already sent it in 2 weeks ago. I've already emailed the admissions office and other than that, I don't know what else I can do.

get collegeboard to send an updated score report?

Here's a copy of the email:

November 15, 1005

Dear Student,

The Chemistry Subject Test you took in May and/or June has been
rescored, and your corrected score is higher. You can view your
corrected score at http://www.collegeboard.com/satscores.

We apologize and please be assured that we have reported your
corrected score to the college(s) to which you originally sent
score reports, in time for any Early Decision/ Early Action
admission deadlines. We will also be contacting your high school
and will be sending your school revised score reports in the mail
within the next week.

An official score report will be sent to you in the mail in the
next week. If you have any questions, please call (609) 771-7600.

Sincerely,

The College Board

It says that a corrected score report would be sent to the colleges I originally intended to notify. At the time, I didn't list any schools. I'm not too concerned about my updated score, though I would like it to be considered during the ED process. Hopefully I'll get things to work out.

they didn't change my score at all. If you want to know, I took SAT Chemistry in June.

yeah, how can we notify collegeboard to rescore for changes?!

Is collegeboard supposed to change ALL chem scores or just a few of them?

I'm not quite sure how the rescoring worked. I'm assuming there was something wrong with a few questions. I never ordered a rescoring of my test either, they just did it.

wait was EVERY test messed up in scoring, or was it just a few people?

not every test. i saw somewhere on the forums that it affected 4,000 of the 36,000 test takers, but i don`t know if this is valid.

yea some guy through a number out, i wasn't sure if he made it up or if he got it from somewhere, just wanted to know if i scored better : )

<3 609! Hehe. Daaamn that number is mad close to my school's phone number.

None of my friends who took the SAT II in June got score changes... :(

I went up 10 points, not bad.
710-->720

i would just pay the 8 dollars or w/e it is and send your score report to your ED college. It's a small price to pay on a matter that may help you.

yeah mine only went up 10 points

for those who got their scores bumped up, where are you guys from? Maybe it's for people in a certain area, and I'm hoping maybe mine went up.

i'm from a small suburb near boston massachusetts, but i doubt that they are doing it by region. they probably just made some scoring/scaling error or something

My son got word in the mail today -- his score went up 20 points.

wow, awesome, where do you guys live, plz say west coast, give me some hope.

As squiggle said, I don't think it's a regional thing -- I think someone must have challenged them on some answers, and if anyone was scored as marking them incorrectly, CB automatically rescored them.

yeah my score went up 30 points too!
this is the best "mistake" CB could've made, unless they didn't make any mistakes in the first place.

I called them at that number and they said they had sent the updates to the original 4 schools you specified + any other you ordered score reports for.

i guess if you have questions about yours getting rescored, you could call that number too. There is a menu for "questions about the may/june chemistry test"
