<p>Last semester, I was accepted to work in a research lab, starting this fall. Unfortunately, she just emailed me and told me that she can no longer take me because they've decided to not take in underclassmen (I am now a sophomore). Is there any way for me to still get a research position this semester?</p>
<p>Contact other professors and try harder… and you will get a position FOR SURE.</p>
<p>^I’ve actually found it much easier to contact the graduate students in the lab, since most of the time they are the ones who will be working with you.</p>
