Does anyone know anything about it?

Yep! It’s really easy to get involved in research as an undergrad. Basically you just look into which faculty members you’d be interested in working with (either online or you can go to the rack of recently published papers in Barnum, I think it’s in the basement). Then you e-mail whoever you’re interested in and ask if they have room for an undergrad in their lab. When I did this, two out of three professors I e-mailed said they’d be happy to have me and set up meetings. Then you should go talk to the PIs about projects and if you find a good fit, you register for the independent research course, which I believe is Bio93/94 depending on the semester. Each semester you write a short paper on your work (up to 10 pages I think) and give an oral presentation to a few faculty members. That’s how it works if you want to do research in the Bio department. I knew other students who worked with PIs in the med school, which means you have to commute to Boston, but may be better depending on your interests. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions!

Thanks so much. This is just the type of insight I was hoping for.
