Research internship at Brown?

Does anyone know if Brown offers medical research internships to high school students?

I am almost certain that research positions at Brown are only officially given to undergraduates.

they key word being officially. most high school students aren't paid for internships anywhere but Lifespan (the company that owns Brown's teaching hospitals) does pay some high school students over the summer.

the best way to set this up is to contact a researcher directly and see if they have room for you in their lab

Yeah I said officially because I was nearly sure there may be some avenue to get work as an undergraduate, but we certainly don't have a formalized way and I definitely don't think it's common. I imagine most of those students are local with contacts.

Thanks...i just emailed one of the heads of the research dept.

I am local, by the way, since I only live about 25-30 mins away from the campus.
