Where would we list a research paper that we have done? Would it count as an extra-curricular?
I figured it might go into the awards section, but I'm not too sure.

Did you get any recognition for it? I think the activities section might be a better place for it. You could more easily demonstrate how much time you put into the paper in this section.

You should list writing research paper as one of the EC, then provide more details about the topics. Every college has one submission writing supplement section. Though some only require arts supplement,
Bringing me to wonder if a scientific paper would be ok…

It was a paper that we did at the end of a class. It is getting published by Stanford SPICE but other than that i don’t think i got any recognition for it. Would it be worth a space in the EC section though?

I think so. Just reading that, it sounded pretty impressive that you have something published.

If you have a habit of writing papers you should include it in the EC, as you must also state the time devoted to the activity. If you only write once list it in the Award.

I would suggest the activities section because you have a little more space there to describe your paper and how it is being recognized.

Thanks for the help!
I guess I’ll list it as an EC, but i don’t really think its being “recognized.”
And yea, this is the only paper i have ever written.

Informative thread I also have to work on the research and I hope to get the information to write the paper.
