Does Caltech allow research paper to be submitted ?

Yes it does, after you submit the Common App portion. Not sure if I should submit mine though :

Are you EAing?

I believe that ideally they only want the abstract.

Blatantly false, they want they entire paper. “Students are not encouraged to submit abstracts—research papers should contain detailed information about the topic as well as research data supporting your conclusions.”

While you could have been more polite, I do appreciate the correction. Things do change over time and obviously I was wrong. Thank you.

@ezvcpg:

You forgot to add the important details from that statement: “Students are not encouraged to submit abstracts—research papers should contain detailed information about the topic as well as research data supporting your conclusions. To properly submit a research paper, students must have first submitted their works to a major scientific journal and had it published. Otherwise, students are required to break into Sloan at three minutes past midnight on a full moon night without being detected. He or she must then find the professor who reviews these articles and receive approval. Submissions of supplemental material in the form of research papers will not be accepted otherwise.”
