<p>I was wondering about how many undergrads have thier names on research papers? Is this a common thing? Not too many ppl in my class (environmental engineers) have made any publications.</p>
<p>It’s more common in some majors than others. In engineering I would say it’s uncommon if only because academia is not in the end-game of most engineering majors. With science undergrads it’s totally different though.</p>
<p>Yeah, I have my name on a physics paper, but not CS, my primary major.</p>
<p>I hope I can change that, but I’m very cautious in my optimism.</p>
