International admission might not be as rigorous, but it is different. I'm not really sure, but I know it differs by country. Check the RSI website and find someone to email, make sure that Korea is participating, because not all countries do every year.

Email Ms. Keri Lowry, the international RSI coordinator. I do not believe that Korea participates in RSI, but I may be wrong / the situation might have changed this year.

To the person from Korea..

are you affiliated with the Department of Defense? The DoD has one representative each from Pacific, Europe, and Atlantic every year... i know one girl this year was from Korea.

omg whipped by PSAT...uuuuughhhh. I got a 76 on math last year...but probably not so pretty again.

haha sorry to hear that, Reaching.

On the CEE site it recommends a 75+ on the PSATs, but with the harsh curve that's like -2 . Did anyone get in with less than a 75 last year?

hmmm what do you think i would get for math if i answered all the questions right except for two that i left blank. Plz dont ask why i did that, the stupidest thing ever, I cant read questions!!!!!

I think that would be around a 76 (not sure)?

Last year I got a 76 for one wrong. Leaving two blank would give you a raw score one point less than mine. Then again, I had the test with the harshest curve.

well im going to hope like hell that they give me a 76. I would be so happy, but then again im not sure if i got everything else right. Bah i think my chances at RSI just went down the drain with this PSAT.

pyroman: if you read about my nightmare, you are much better off.

Just take the SAT like I will.

why what happened to you?

you have to read it in the SAT forums. The thread title is obvious ;)

I'm just attending a local school. Will that fact discourage the likeliness to be accepted? Is there a preference of kids in American military bases to those in local schools?

No.................

omg...weird, but I might have missed 2 q on the psat math...holy crap...actually, i don't think they were wrong...but i might have misread one (triangle)....How awful, but I'll just send my SAT score, I most didn't miss 2 on that. Can you send SAT instead of PSAT?

yeah, ppl have done that before.

great
cuz missing 2 = 73!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (last year, at least)

Hey, everyone! I'm Geeta, RSI '05. Wow, I'm so late on jumping on the RSI reminiscing bandwagon.
To everyone freaking out about test scores, I wouldn't be TOO worried. I had a PSAT math score MUCH lower than 750 (although that was on the new PSAT; my score on the old PSAT was higher), as well as other standardized math test scores that weren't exactly gorgeous. I'd say, if you're above 700, and really show excellence in math and science elsewhere in your application (APs, College Credit, etc.), AND have a really good answer to question two, you'll be in the running. That's at least how I think it worked for me. Test scores are just a way for them to create an initial pool. If you're within a certain range, you won't be ruled out and you can let the other stellar parts of your application pull you through.
Eugenics and MACHO bulges forever!!

Thanks for the encouraging words :)
puts down gun lol
I'm guessing it's really good to have a better score on Math IIC since it's harder?
