I got my postcard today :)
Haha, it made me laugh when I saw it again, because it was an American Girl postcard, and I wrote a note on it to myself telling myself to calm down.

if results come the same time as last year...
exactly one more month!

bahhh stop making us nervous :P
anticipation index: 67

There's roughly twice as long left to wait as we've already waited...that dream about getting in (rather displeased when I woke up) puts me at anticipation index=74, an all time high. Yar!

... but... i had RSI related dream too! only that the letter i opened... sigh* anticipation index = 38

Actually, MITdude, you could probably still apply to SSP. The first deadline has past, but the second one is sometime in March, I think. If you're looking for more options- best summer ever. Period. Anyway! That Chandra thing sounds really interesting.... And don't discount your application so soon. I was doing mine the Tuesday before the Friday deadline at 5 in the morning because it took so long to narrow down my questions- so I'm not sure that mine was even in coherent English. o_O

Anticipation index= ugh, I'm getting nervous just thinking about it.

lol i will, i was planning to apply to SSP... it's my "safety" summer program xD. I think im good enough for it... I spent dang much time on my apps... hope it pays off haha. Chandra is interesting! it's fun and... u can go get good chinese food for 4-5 bucks during lunch everyday during the summer session! =D go general gao chicken!! xD

you know what's funny? all my friends at school are like "what? summer? i haven't planned past saturday! i'm too busy scoping out bob over there..." and i'm standing there thinking about the 21st.

Are your guys's friends like that as well?

Yes! They're evenly split between freaking out about prom and freaking out about grades on incredibly minor assignments. Like hello...watch a cloud go by people. Find something you care about it and do it! So many people at my school are just obnoxious little automatons playing the gpa game. I went to a park near my house to watch the eclipse the other night, and like 80% of the people I asked said they couldn't go because they had to do homework. Total lunar eclipse>>busywork...

Pardon the rant.

ahaha, i tried to see it, but couldn't find it ><... i was doing my hw too! xD and worrying about minor assignments...

...

i feel noob.

wow the eclipse WAS amazing!
It was sorta cloudy in my area so it was hard to see at first.

HAHA MITdude you nerd! =p

DUde prom is so ridiculous. there are always people whining about dates and at prom, whining about the venue/food/dj/photographer alksjdlk
yeah sorry had to rant about that too. haha

< lol prom xD... been there once as a sophomore... in another school. My school's prom is for seniors only... we have junior banquet tho... but i doubt it's easy to find a date when u have classes so unique that rarely u have the same classmate in two classes... not to mention hw amount and find the rite grl xD

and after the blowage of PSATs and SATs... doubt parents would let me go ><

Go pure math/number theory!

Go pure math/number theory!
[/quote]

woot! number theory rocks!!!

Hey MITdude, I kind of have the same problem for prom too, being a math nerd is tough...

ahh xD hahaha, but i dun like anyone rite now anyways, so... no point xD (zomg better to play SC2? xD)

Ha, so for math and science nerds like us.... which is harder, getting into RSI or getting a date to prom? Both are pretty selective. :P

hehehe, at least u dun have to come up with research questions for prom... and get them approved... or thrown out by little old lady as she laughes "HAHAHA".

Heh, why not ask the little old lady to prom? :P I'm sure you could come up with an appropriate pick-up line.

"If I were any enzyme, I would be DNA helicase so that I could unzip your genes."

"If you were the line y=x^2, I would be the line y=2x so I could lie tangent to your curves."

"Hey baby, I'm really attracted to you... with a force directly proportional to the product of our masses and inversely proportional to the distance between us."

hahahaaa
i love the one where its like

"hey baby, can i be your integral, so I can be the area under your curves?
