classof09, we're twins.

minus the research.

plus an unhealthy dedication to class spirit.

omg why is everyone such a genius! haha

and that garfield thing is hilarious!!!

haha class spirit?
that's me too :)

my school doesn't have a lot of class spirit, but we're working on it... slowly. :D

Thanks! I thought it was pretty hilarious too.

classof09 and VPof09, you guys even have the same last 4 characters!

Speaking of comics... more or less... I wonder if there is any correlation between RSI applicants and people who habitually read xkcd?

xkcd - A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language - By Randall Munroe

I love xkcd. My favorite is the Donner party one.

I love xkcd too!

i'm pretty certain i've read them all multiple times

moi aussi. :)

classof09: tu peux parler francais?

un peu, un peu....
je pris le cours mais je ne suis pas forte a parler ...

JE SPEAK FRANCEIS!!! looooool jk

mais, je pense qu'on doit rester au subjet de RSI, maintenant au moins.

Hi guys!
I don't want to ruin the French party going on, but I must. I am the pooper of parties.

Well actually, it's 'cause I emailed Cliff Bowman about sending in SAT scores and other stuff after the deadline (as in now).
Would photocopying my score report and mailing it to you guys be okay? Also, would snail-mailing any additional information to the RSI address (8201 Greensboro) be appreciated? I ask because of the passed Feb. 8 deadline.

And yes, I do read xkcd ^_^

oh wowww
people at my school used those comics for our valentine's day grams!
holy COW!!! that's like... where all my cards came from.
how weird!

haha you guys are such french nerds!

then again, we're ALL nerds.

I've made a habit of cutting out the physics ones for my physics teacher (go figure right, I'm sure you all thought I was going to say lit teacher). Favorite two moments: 1) (#123) Several kids were confused by the whole "there's no such thing as a centrifugal force" concept, two weeks after the test. 2) (#135) When I brought this one in, me and three other people immediately started working it, but found, to our dismay, that none of the raptors hit top speed, so the wound is irrelevant and you just go for the longest path.

we are still waiting.... lalalala

lol so where else did you guys apply for the summer?

(31 days 'til official decisions week starts, THREE WEEKS 'til the 21st...)
I didn't actually apply anywhere else...I'm planning on trying to find a GT prof to research w/ if this doesn't work out. Above all else, I just want something where I'm spending my summer w/ some people I haven't met...I just need some new, interesting people. My school is rather lacking in that department

I signed up for the CCIS program at Stanford.
If not, i'll just take some classes at de anza college if worse comes to worse.

bah I just realized that i have 314 posts right now, but by the time I post this, I'll have 315 :'( I missed the pi moment.

I applied to 3 other science camps: Clark Scholars, WTP, and NJGSS.
If I don't get into any, I'll probably work on studying math and doing some research near home. :)

VPof09: My guess is that you go to either Saratoga High, Lynbrook, or Harker. haha (Just a guess!)

I applied to a few other summer programs in case RSI didn't work out. I can't believe THE DAY is coming up so soon!!
