I'm assuming that question 3 matters a lot too.

I think anything which is non-standardized-testing for number 3 is pretty important.

Very interesting responses, Raneff and I admire you for putting your answers out there. And I heard Philip's going to ISEF again this year so he must still be in high school.

raneff, nice essay ~ my essays and topics (bio) were on the dull side. -sigh- we will all find out soon I guess

p.s if the letters were mailed out today or tomorrow, how long will it take to get to new england?

well considering Massachusetts IS in New England, I'd say, it never left to begin with.

If they're sent from CEE, that's VA anyways. To GA would be 2-3 days from yesterday or today, which is Fri., Sat., or Mon.

*2-3 from today or tommorow ==> friday-sunday
Wow I'm out of it..must be this graduation testing.

If an atom were the solar system, where would the protons be found?
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I always wish we could just take the RSI applicant types and go off somewhere and actually learn real science, without having to be hindered by graduation tests we could have passed when we were twelve. That and the people in my BC calc class who still can't do the algebra.

But mail doesn't come on Sunday, so wouldn't it be Friday, Saturday, or Monday?

my friend lives in california and last year he got his letter on the 31st, a monday. he said it was postmarked from saturday... which i thought was weird.

@shravas: Mm, that. <feels brilliant=""></feels>

anticipation index rises to above 50 now...

zomg.

i live in Maryland... shouldn't take more than 3 days after postmark to arrive...

^ i think you would be one of the first people to get it

i live in NJ...i'll probably get it friday or so

anticipation index = 11/10

haha my anticipation index goes to 11...

sorry too much spinal tap/guitar hero

do they come express usps? ups? flat rate envelope? or just standard first class mail?

my anticipation index is 1/n as n goes to 0 T_T
@raneff: they just come in a regular slim envelope. and apparently the first paragraph says congratulations whether you got accepted or no. it's the second paragraph...

the mail is really weird actually. i sent two EXACT letters... one to stanford and one to cee and the one to cee got there 3 days earlier (and i'm from the bay area).

yeah. weird.

FDSHGHFDGHAF i already know i got rejected, but :( fshs.

I think I'm going to have a nervous breakdown if I don't get my letter on Monday lol

anticipation index = limit of the sum of 1/n^.5 from n=1 to infinity

Lol, your summation diverges...

wow i have a huge physics test tomorrow and im losing sleep over this now... last year some kids got their letters a day after they were postmarked
