Oh my bad. I didn't realize that there was an RSI 2008 Thread. Thanks!

Apparently the people in my post office don't work on Saturdays... It's going to be a long wait until Monday.

Rejected. I'm still me though, and maybe I'll believe that within a day or two...
Signing off and congrats to those who did make it,
David

Rejected :\, but good job to everyone who made it! I recognize the names of 2 of the members in the facebook group (Patricia Li and Marianna Mao) and I know they are well known in the math community.

Rejected also.
Good thing I got the letter just after returning home from a lengthy debate tournament so I fell asleep immediately after and it appears the sleep dissipated any negative emotions I might have had.

I'm very excited for all the accepted kids, hope you guys have a lot of fun and do some amazing research! :)

fumes why oh why do they have to rely on actual physical mail? I shudder to think of my letter sifting through hundreds of others on board international airlines that take forever to land...what's so problematic about email huh?

rejected...wasn't expecting to get in anyway lol

I got rejected as well. I'm beginning to see it as a good thing, though. It's nice to know that we're in good company.

Congratulations to everyone who got in! I'm sure it will be a fantastic summer.

still haven't gotten the letter yet...

me neither :/

any other alternates?

Yea, I got rejected.

I did not get into RSI's 2008 program. Well that's that.

Has anyone in the Northwest gotten in (WA, OR)?

OR here, not sure because it hasn't arrived yet... fingers crossed

anyone from CA get theirs yet?

My friend got his rejection letter and he lives a few miles from me in CA.

Hey foreverfree, where do you come from in Oregon? I'm from Corvallis... hah OR has sent maybe a total of 5 people to RSI?

good luck guys. rejected. =(

HMG1611 - Yes, another alternate. Does anyone know how many alternates have gotten places in the past few years? How many are chosen as alternates?
